Project X is so easy to use that it is not unusual for people to get started with their first project before exploring all the features and benefits Project X has to offer. For that reason, we are pleased to present Project X Highlights—short features that offer insight into the different aspects of Project X that can help you make the most of your time.
This Week’s Highlight: Media Integration

Project management documents have been traditionally known to be dull, one-dimensional lists of tasks, resources, and deadlines—not terribly inspiring and not as informative as they could or should be..
Project X has changed the way we see traditional project documents with the availability of a new patent-pending technology that allows you to integrate media directly into your project tasks. Just imagine, your project documents can now contain relevant information such as images, sound, or video. Integrated media is a great way to provide specific information to the resources assigned to a specific task and also to archive important project information.
For example, let’s say you work in a small ad firm and are working on a flash presentation. With Project X’s media integration technology you can actually add logos, photographs, images of layouts, or even the background music that will be playing during the flash presentation. That means that at any moment, your resource has access to information that will help them accomplish that task while providing them with key visual/audio cues.
Or let’s say that you are a small home contractor that has been hired to design, build, and install kitchen cabinets. When you visit the client’s house, you can take pictures and video of the kitchen with your digital camera for reference later on. Then you can take that media and add it to the appropriate tasks in your project so that the person that creates the layouts can “see” the kitchen for additional points of reference when necessary.
Plus, when viewing the project in the Network View, you can actually see thumbnails of the images you have added to the tasks. Say good bye to boring old project management documents…say hello to an interactive world of project management and collaboration.
